The MK model is characterized by progressive operation:
at first the central spring takes action (it's the only element capable of absorbing and damping wave-induced motion); then the central elastomer comes into operation to assist the spring as meteo-marine conditions progressively worsen; and finally a system of 4+4 lateral elastomers that engage simultaneously is added under extreme conditions, ensuring a uniform and constant elastic response.
